Food Truck Coordinator/Cook [1 needed]:
* This role requires some office time as well as on-site food preparation and line-cooking

Supervises: Volunteers

Schedule: (Monday - Friday), Full-Time (40 hours/week), 35k/annual

Office Responsibilities (3 days/week):
  • Represent and advocate for SDFT’s mission statement
  • Curate and present new, inclusive food-menus to and with approval from Executive Director
  • Respond to public inquiry about SDFT in a professional manner, utilizing phone and organization-issued email account
  • Develop & maintain our Meals-Served (#) database
  • Hybrid work setting (some remote, office, and travel work required)
  • Submit social media content to HR Office Specialist

Food Truck Responsibilities (2 days/week):
  • Provision necessary ingredients and utensils for all SDFT events in a timely manner, emphasizing sustainable sourcing from local farms
  • On-Site food service to participating organizations on event days (W-F)
  • Intermediate/advanced food preparation and line-cooking skills required
  • Maintain food truck machinery (propane, fryer [oil], generator, etc.)
  • Service food truck with a local mechanic
  • Adhere to culinary direction of Executive Director
  • Ability to accommodate persons with allergies and dietary restrictions
