Front-of-House Volunteer (FoHV) Program

To Become a Food Truck Volunteer, the following is required:
  • Ability to travel regionally in Northwestern Lower Michigan (Benzie, Leelanau, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, & Antrim Counties)
  • 4~8 hours per week (1 day/week)
  • Receive front-of-house training
  • Writing down food orders from patrons in an organized, timely fashion and passing them through the truck window to the SDFT cooks
  • Writing the menu board
  • Retrieving completed food orders from SDFT chefs and serving them to assigned patrons
  • Free shift meal and required uniform
  • Ability to stand for multiple hours at a time, in all weather conditions
